Long-serving police officers from across Nova Scotia were recognized today, Nov. 2, for their contributions to law enforcement. Justice Minister and Attorney General Ross Landry presented Nova Scotia Provincial Police Long Service Awards at a ceremony in Halifax to 52 recipients. “Reaching a milestone like this is a tremendous accomplishment and these men and women have earned the right to be very proud,” said Mr. Landry. “Over the years, their dedicated service has created a province that is safer for all Nova Scotians.” The provincial award program recognizes police officers who have served in the province for 15 and 25 consecutive years. This is the third year for the program. A list of the recipients is available at www.gov.ns.ca/just .
