That’s not including two months when the city suspended the pickup program due to Hurricane Florence.The sweep is part of the Rover-Bulky Program, which aims to reduce illegal dumping on public right-of-ways.- Advertisement – The program is designed to combat a theory which suggests that run-down properties with trash heaps are correlated with higher rates of crime.The city will provide a one time pickup, educate residents on how to dispose of those materials, then code enforcement follows up to make sure they are complying.last_img
